EL84 / 6BQ5 / 6N14N / 7189 Pwr Pentode

The EL84 / 6BQ5 / 6N14N is an 9-pin "noval" power pentode tube found in the power amp section of many guitar amps, mostly in sets of two or four matched valves. It has a 6.3v heater filament and can dissipate 12W. Other equivalent tubes are 7819, CV2917, and N709. The EL84 is widely used in both vintage and modern guitar amplifiers.
