Tone Tubes provides this website, features and services subject to the following policies, terms and conditions

By accessing or using our site, and / or ordering components from our online store, you consent to our policies, terms and conditions.

Warnings and Disclaimer:    

Tube Amplifiers, and related products are electrical products that use extremely high and potentially fatal voltages.  Used improperly they can be dangerous and cause serious personal injury and death.  Due to stored energy such equipment is dangerous even when turned off or unplugged. Amplifier service and repair work including tube replacement should only be performed by suitably qualified personnel.  Tone Tubes and its staff disclaim all liability for injury or property damage arising from use of its products, or information provided on this website.

Never operate an amplifier after replacing the power tubes, without having the amplifier's bias checked and adjusted in accordance with OE Manufacturer's specifications.  If you have questions about biasing, take the amp to a qualified technician. 

Terms and Conditions:

All of our tube products are fully tested prior to shipment.  Tubes are performance tested in accordance with product specifications in order to ensure that only high quality products are shipped.  Tone Tubes shall not be held responsible for equipment that is damaged from the use of tubes or other parts purchased from us.  The customer shall check with the original equipment manufacturer regarding equipment specifications, including tube selection, correct installation and biasing procedures.  Tone Tubes reserves the right to amend any and all policies, terms and conditions at any time and without notice, and such amendments are effective immediately upon posting.  Please ensure you review our policies, terms and conditions frequently as continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of any new terms.  Tone Tubes do not warrant product availability, and shall not be liable for direct or indirect losses incurred as a result of product non-availability.  Tone Tubes may disrupt or terminate services and products offered on this website without notice to you, and without liability.  Whilst every precaution has been taken to ensure accuracy of information provided on this website, Tone Tubes does not warrant that the information is error-free, and shall not be liable for direct or indirect losses arising as a result of such errors.  This website may link to independent third-party websites and services.  Tone Tubes do not warranty any third-party service, and shall not be liable for direct or indirect losses arising from use of these sites.  Tone Tubes reserves the right to temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate, or otherwise refuse to permit you access to our services, without notice and liability, and at our sole determination, for any reason.  Upon suspension or termination, you continue to be bound by our terms and conditions.  You agree that any claim, dispute or legal action against Tone Tubes shall be decided exclusively by a court located within the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole.

Payment:

Prices are quoted in South African ZAR, and include VAT.  Shipping costs are excluded from quoted prices, and will be included during order checkout.  Shipping costs are passthrough courier costs with no margin added.  Payment options include by Credit Card (over R500 order value) (also Instant EFT, SCode, Masterpass, Apple & Samsung Pay etc.) utilising the secure payment gateway Payfast, or by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) from your bank. We unfortunately do not accept cheques.  Tone Tubes reserves the right to revise payment terms and methods at any time, without notice and liability, and at our sole determination.  Payment confirmation is generally required before we complete and ship your order, unless by prior written agreement.  Full payment is then due within 5 working days.  Interest at 2% per month will be levied on unpaid invoices older than 31 days. 

Shipment:

Confirmed orders will be processed with 2 working days for most items on our website.  If any product is on backorder we will advise you immediately, and update as soon as availability is confirmed. Availability can be checked for any product on it's specifications tab.  Unless otherwise specified by the Customer, Tone Tubes will ship products using Aramex "Store to Door" Courier services.  Collections are by prior arrangement only. Shipments are daily, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.  All shipping costs are for the Customer's account and will be invoiced during online check-out, however we do offer Free Shipping on all orders above R1600.00.  Vacuum Tubes are fragile glassware products that can occasionally be damaged in transit.  Shipping damages will be covered under our warranty as long as a claim is lodged within 48hrs after receipt. Tone Tubes will not refund for damages arising from shipping, but we will replace damaged products returned to us for inspection.  The cost of returning damaged tubes to us will be carried by the Customer.  Courier operations are beyond our control and Tone Tubes cannot guarantee courier delivery times.

Warranty:

Tone Tubes provide a 30 days limited product warranty on tubes and other components purchased from us.  This warranty covers manufacturer defects but not improper usage by the end user. Our warranty does not cover equipment damages arising from products purchased from us.  Product modifications shall void our warranty. 

Tone Tubes reserves the right to replace or refund defective product at its sole discretion.

All tubes must be operated under the proper conditions or all warranties are void.  Most amplifiers require re-biasing when replacing power tubes.  Biasing must be done by a qualified tube amp technician.  We are unable to warrant product damaged as a result of installation by unqualified personnel.

Warranties are not transferrable, and apply to the original purchaser only.

Return Guidelines:

If you have an item to return, please send an email with details to sales@tonetubes.co.za and we will provide you with a return authorisation.  Tone Tubes will not accept returns in the absence of prior approval. In certain cases return of defective goods will not be required, this is at our discretion. 

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be refunded.  Product returned at the customer's cost will be reviewed and tested by Tone Tubes.  If the returned product is confirmed as defective, we will ship replacement product back to you at our cost. 

All returned goods must be returned in the original product packaging in order for the return to be processed.

We do not accept returns of non-defective product under any circumstances.

Privacy Policy:

Personal data volunteered by you during registration and use of our website will only be used by Tone Tubes to process your orders, to personalise and improve your customer experience, and to improve our website.  We will not trade, sell or otherwise provide personal data to outside parties unless it is directly related to the sale and shipping of goods ordered from our website.  For example, we will share your contact details with your selected courier service provider to enable efficient shipping and delivery of goods, or where legally obligated to do so in terms of prevailing law or industry codes.

Credit Card payments are processed by a secure third party payment gateway, and we do not store any customer credit card or other personal financial data on our site or within our system.  We do not use "cookies" to collect personal data from you.    

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, we may email you from time to time with promotions, new products and other industry news.  You can opt out of this at any time. 

Users need to register on this site in order to purchase goods from our store.  You may never use another user's account without permission, and you remain solely responsible for any activity that occurs on your account.  It is the user's responsibility to keep log-in details and passwords secure.  It is the user's responsibility to provide accurate and complete information when registering, and Tone Tubes shall not be held liable for losses arising from incorrect registration information, nor unauthorised use of your account.  You shall notify Tone Tubes immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.  You also have the right to ask us to update, correct or delete your personal information at any time.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. To do this, simply contact us on admin@tonetubes.co.za and specify what information you require.  We will need a copy of your ID document to confirm your identity before providing any details of your personal information.

Our Consent:

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Tone Tubes.  By accessing or using our site, and / or ordering components from our online store, you consent to our policies, terms and conditions, and expressly agree that you do so at your own risk.
