12AY7 / 6072 - JJ Electronic

The JJ 12AY7 / 6072 is a high quality, low noise double triode preamp tube, and is a great replacement for any similar tube type in any amp. This tube is tonaly well balanced, offering smooth breakup when pushed. Offering medium gain, (40mu) it can be substituted for 12AX7 in most preamps, reducing gain and increasing headroom. It is commonly used in the phase inverter in many amps.
