The MESA® 5U4G Rectifier Tube is a classic 1930s "Coke Bottle" design. It produces a spongy feel that is a bit more controlled and slightly less "saggy" than the newer 5U4GB
NOTE: This older version 5U4G is no longer used in new MESA amps. (replaced by the 5U4GB) Due to its taller "Coke Bottle" design, this tube may not fit in all amplifiers. (120mm from bottom of base to top of bottle, excluding pins)
Please confirm the height between your amp’s chassis and the top of your cabinet before choosing this tube.
This tube is perfect to replace the vintage / obsolete 5U4G tube featured in many older Mesa Boogie amplifiers, as well as many high-end hi-fi tube amplifiers
